AVBO Corse Team Visits Politecnico di Milano Wind Tunnel

During April 5th and April 9th, the AVBO Corse team members embarked on a school trip by train from Bologna Centrale to Milano Centrale to explore the wind tunnel at Politecnico di Milano, a highly esteemed university for STEM subjects. We discovered the mechanics of a wind tunnel and understood the significance of aerodynamics across various sports and industries, including building construction.

Aldini Valeriani mechanic class design and produce a wind tunnel

Following a visit to the Politecnico di Milano wind tunnel, a Mechanic class teacher decided to put the learned concepts into practice by constructing a wind tunnel themselves, providing a highly educational experience!

2LMM design F1 in Schools model cars

Five classmates from class 2LMM, Alessandro Piccinelli, Matteo Pappadà, Alfonso Grandi, Matteo Magri, Giovanni Dall’Olmo, from the idea started by the teacher Claudia Bandini, created a presentation about the F1 in Schools project and models cars, made with waste material of the AVBO Corse team. All of that was based on aerodynamic and physic concepts.

Reflex Game

Some students from our school’s Electronics course were willing to build this electronic device for our team. Therefore, we used it to train our reflexes for the final. They used an open-source circuit board, a breadbord, LEDs, buttons, connection cables, a buzzle and a battery to power the device
